  “Picnicking [New]

  1) How often do you go on a picnic?

  2) Have you gone for a picnic when you were a child?

  3) Where do you usually go for a picnic?

  4) Is going out on a picnic and having meals at home the same?”

The most impressive experience for picnic is when i was in Brisbane. U know, i rented a single room and lived with my landlord - they were the Nanjing native before immigrating to Australia. I remember the picnic day was a public holiday, and my landlord drove me to Kangaroo Island Pioneers- a quite landscape in the CBD Brisbane.

A group of 4 of us brought a picnic mat, an insulated picnic box, stewed vegetables, small cakes, soft drinks and beer. These were all things that I couldn't let my belly eat in my usual home. Because it is a picnic day, I brought them out together and prepared to indulge.

After eating part of the food, I lay on the mat. The breeze blew across my body, it was pleasant. The sky was blue and the grass was fragrant, and i really saw some kangaroos juping through the bushes. We could see river flowing quietly, see the people coming and going and the vehicles going back and forth in the opposite CBD area.

This was my first time out on a picnic. Before in China, I hardly had such a chance to feel the slow and empty feeling of a picnic. This feeling of slowly merging with nature made me a little addicted. After that, I would go out on a picnic with tmy landlord or my friends - well, i didn’t own a car - to relax almost every two weeks, which helped me relieve the pressure during the deadline.
